CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Kissing is for Stamping

Hello and welcome to CTMH's Technique Blog Hop. This month our featured technique is "Kissing" with Stamps.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is a circular hop or if you get lost along the way you can start at the beginning with Melissa's Blog. If you came here from HEART AND SOULS SCRAPPERS you are in the right place. Now on to my project:

So what is the "Kissing" Technique. Here is an awesome video that explains it real well and gives plenty of inspiration.

I absolutely love the La Vie en Rose and the Beloved Bouquet Stamp Set. I decided to use them in scrapbooking some of my wedding photos. I was married 5 years ago but procrastinated big time on my wedding album since I have like 1000 photos lol. Here is another blog post where I did some more pages that sort of go with this one.

So anyways, for the kissing technique I decided to use the small flower outline for the bride page and ink it with black over 2nd generation pomegranate inked title alphabet. I also used the same technique over 2nd and 3rd generation pomegrante inked big flower. Then I outlined the accents and title with a black journaling pen. Here is a close up:

I also made a page for my husband's photos. I tried to beef it up a bit but it looks kind of plain. I might change it yet because I didn't like it as much. This time I used the branch type stamp over 1st generation pomegranate for the title.

Share the Love Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Share the Love Blog Hop. This month our featured constant campaign is called Share the Love. It is to help raise money for Operation Smile.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is a circular hop or if you get lost along the way you can start at the beginning with Melinda's Blog as she has the complete list. If you came here from HEARTFUL STAMPER you are in the right place. Now on to my project:

I made a 1 page layout based off this sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine's sketchy challenge.

I hand stitched all the hearts on the page by using our fabulous Stitching Guide Ruler. I love that thing. Hand stitching takes a lot of time but always adds a nice touch. The white strip was stamped on with the arrows using a variety of colors to match the PML Live Your Day card and the soft tones in the background to tie it all together.

Featured Products Blog Hop - Gold & Silver Sequins

Hello and welcome to CTMH's Featured Products Blog Hop. This week our featured product is the Gold & Silver Sequins.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is the beginning of the hop. If you came here from LITTLE CROP SHOP ON THE CORNER you are in the right place. Now on to my project:

This is a very simple page I made as a cover page for my next "Everyday Life" Album, where I scrap in chronological order everything in my life. Lol. It is my 11th Album. I used to be able to fit a few years in every album and then it turned into one year per album. Now with kids I can barely fit 6 months into our D-Ring binders. Think I take too many pictures? Haha.

This page is very simple and yet it is all I need. I added some gold sequins, assortments, ribbon and paper under the special background to create some texture and interest. Then added some more sequins randomly across the page.

Supply List
Gold Sequins
Sapphire Cardstock
White Daisy Cardstock
Gold Fundamental Assortment
Gold Glitter Paper
Regatta Complements
Journaling Pen
Artistry Cricut Cartridge
Black & Gold Ribbon

February SOTM Blog Hop - Balloon Animals

Hello and welcome to CTMH's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. This week our featured Stamp of the Month is called Balloon Animals.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is a circular hop or if you get lost along the way you can start at the beginning with Melinda's Blog as she has the complete list. If you came here from GINA'S LITTLE CORNER OF STAMPIN' HEAVEN you are in the right place. Now on to my project:

It just so happens that February's SOTM is a Birthday themed set and my daughter's birthday is in February. Perfect isn't it? ;) Haha. Here is an image showing the different pieces to the stamp set:

So for my daughter's 2nd birthday we decided to do a Curious George themed party. She absolutely adores George plus she is just as curious as he is. Typical toddler. Here are the invitations I set out.

I copied and pasted a coloring page of Curious George into word and shrunk it down, making it the size I wanted. Then I had my daughter color them. I dry embossed the yellow background with our striped embossing folder. I used 3 different alphabet stamp sets to do the invitations: Capture the Date (Retired), Polka Dot (Retired) and You are my Happy Alphabet (Retired)

I also made the layouts for her birthday party pictures to be put in once the party happens. Yes, I am just that organized lol. I made a 2 page layout and 2 one page layouts that can be put together. The first pages will show her general photos from her birthday party. Here is a sneak peek:

To see the entire layout you will have to check back here on February 15 at 8 pm as it will be part of another Blog Hop. The next page will showcase her pictures of her cake and ice cream. Mmmmmmm.

And the next page I made for all the guests to sign at the party. Then she will be able to look back over the years and see their comments.

And I designed the last two pages to fit nicely side by side. Note: I will add photos after her birthday so you can see how it will all come together ;).

Supply List:
February Stamp of the Month: 6$ with a 55+$ purchase
Stripe Embossing Folder

Yellow Cardstock (A Retired Color - not sure the name)
